I am not normally a romcom guy (romantic comedy) but I gotta say that I was tickled by this book. The characters were fresh, the world was something out of my usual genre, and the pace was really great. I was really digging the whole story, and rooting for them to live happily ever after, but I'll settle for funnily ever after. RBR, Amazon.com A gorgeous book with all that's needed to keep it out of hand: romance, mystery, adventure, humor. The characters are very clear sketched, with qualities and flaws that make them more real. The writer has talent and attention to detail that gives you the feeling that you are there now, not in your living room sofa, but it does not exaggerate to get you bored. A story that begins with a very serious investigation to unveil a corrupt minister, continues with a very fine romantic story and ends with a series of unexpected events. Dana Ilie, Goodreads ONE MONSOON IN MUMBAI by Anitha Perinchery is a delightful romantic comedy filled with flawed characters, witty banter and an unexpected budding romance that could foil all the government is trying to unveil. A quick, fun read that will bring readers some well-placed chuckles and some romantic sighs, too! These characters have real personality and their world feels alive! Dianne, Goodreads Honestly, I did not expect this book to be so good. The amount of research the author must have done to get all the small details is appreciable. The intricate love triangle or to be more precise, love quadrilateral shared between the four characters are intense as well as comical. The author also touches upon disgusting aspects that plague the country such as dirty politicians and child prostitution and this I believe will help generate a wider scale of awareness. The best part about this book is that every character has an individual story. The main novel is like a river with branched out stories as tributaries. Hari Krishnan Prasath, Goodreads A great story, and an excellent page turner or a book. The book has great characters and characters development. One thing I really liked was that no character in this story was perfect, it is these imperfections/flaws that make thus character realistically relatable and likeable. The great thing about the mix of the characters is the complete each other, the learn and grow from each other. Khurram, Goodreads When I picked this book up, my expectations were not high. One page into the book and I realised that for a debut author, Perincherry's language is polished and she has a flair with her writing style. Helly, Goodreads I have not read many romantic comedies but I am glad I read this one. One Monsoon in Mumbai is a perfect blend of romance, thriller, and humor. One Monsoon in Mumbai is a story is about a female spy going undercover, working as an employee in an IT firm, to collect evidence against a corrupt minister. When the spy tries to woo the boss to get closer to the evidence, she is repeatedly thwarted by the officer in charge of cybersecurity. What follows next is a fun ride, full of comedy of errors, romance and humor. Sumit RK, Goodreads
