Zoë Slaughter is a food allergy advocate and debut author of Invisibly Allergic (invisiblyallergic.com), based in Louisville, Kentucky. She has volunteered with leading US food allergy nonprofits and lobbied in Washington, D.C., for stronger food allergy policies and improved labeling laws. After surviving a traumatic, near-death anaphylactic reaction, Zoë founded Invisibly Allergic to raise awareness of unspoken gaps in US food labeling laws and to advocate for safer food manufacturing practices and greater ingredient transparency. A dedicated disability rights, animal rights, and social justice advocate, she uses her writing and platform to amplify marginalized voices and push for systemic change. She shares resources, insights, and advocacy efforts through her website and social media platforms at Invisibly Allergic.
