Ailin the Manx kitten foolishly left her home in the warmth and safety of the abandoned croft or tholtan as it is known in Manx Gaelic. Her mother Saoirse had left the tholtan to fetch dinner while Ailin and her two brothers slept. Ailin having awoke she grew impatient of her two brothers still asleep and went to play outside. Ailin listened to the familiar noise of the Caaig as they soared above Peel castle but today, they seemed more noisier than ever.
Against all she had been taught by her mother Ailin foolishly crosses the causeway that separated her home from St Patricks Isle and the magnificent 11th century castle, curious of the noise from the Caaig just as storm clouds gathered overhead. Alone and afraid as the storm took hold, she found shelter in the castle walls. Frightened and alone she was rescued but taken away from her home, eventually finding herself hundreds of miles from her island home. Follow Ailin and her many adventures as she sought to return to her home in the tholtan through the help of the many new friends she met along the way.
