Nick Stone was born in 1966 to a Scottish father and Haitian mother. He spent his early years in Haiti before returning to England in 1971 to finish his schooling. As a teenager he took up boxing, but gave it up to read history at Cambridge. Nick is married and lives in London. King of Swords is his second novel.
