ALADDIN'S GOLD COMPETITION
Ten $150 Gift Vouchers to be won!
Here's how it works:
- 14 clues are spread throughout our catalogue.
- The answer to each clue relates to one book on the double-page spread.
- Write down the first letter of the book's title (ignoring the word 'The' in the title).
- When you have all 14 letters, unscramble the letters to complete the two-word answer.
- Email your answer to abbeysnewsletters@abbeys.com.au with subject Aladdin's Gold.
- The last day for entries is Saturday 31 January 2026.
- Ten winners will be drawn randomly from correct entries on Wednesday 4 February 2026.
- Entry is only eligible to residents of Australia.
- One entry per person. eNews subscribers are given two entries with their entry.

Conditions of entry
- Receipt of entries in the competition commences Thursday 30 October 2025 at 12.01am and closes Saturday 31 January 2026 at 11.59pm.
- To enter: Email abbeysnewsletters@abbeys.com.au with the correct answer to the Aladdin’s Gold competition question shown in our 2025 Summer Reading Catalogue (available in store at 131 York Street, Sydney and online at abbeys.com.au).
- Entry is only eligible to residents of Australia.
- One entry per person. With their entry, subscribers to our eNews are given an additional entry into the draw.
- The promoter is Abbey’s Bookshops Pty Ltd, 131 York Street, Sydney NSW 2000. Phone 02 9264 3111 ABN 86 000 650 975
- The promoter’s business directors, management and employees, their immediate families, their retailers, suppliers, associated companies and agencies cannot participate in the draw.
- Ten winners will be drawn at random by Abbey’s Bookshop staff on Wednesday 4 February 2026.
- The total value of prizes is $1,500 consisting of ten Gift Vouchers for $150 each redeemable at Abbey’s Bookshop, Language Book Centre and Galaxy Bookshop (all at 131 York Street, Sydney) or on abbeys.com.au
- Gift Voucher prizes are not redeemable for cash but are transferable to a person of the winner’s choosing.
- Winners consent to publication of their first name and last name initial on our competition web-page and across our social media.
- The results of the competition will be published on the abbeys.com.au website from Wednesday 4 February 2026.
- The prize-winners will be notified on the day of the draw via email.
- Gift Vouchers will be emailed to winners as soon as is practicable after the draw.
- If a winner of a prize is not contactable and the prize remains unclaimed or if a prize is not accepted, a second chance draw will take place on Tuesday 24 February 2026 at Abbey’s Bookshop, 131 York Street Sydney.
