If you go down to the woods today . . . you might not ever come back. Stranger Things meets Sophie Anderson in this creepy and atmospheric adventure about magic, monsters and mythical creatures. Perfect for readers aged 9+.

'A gripping tale of dark faerie magic' - Phil Hickes, author of The Haunting of Aveline Jones

Pippa can't wait to visit her grandfather's cottage in the forest, even though the last visit ended when she saw a strange figure at her window in the middle of the night.

Soon her Cornish holiday turns into a dark and wild adventure when Pippa realises that someone - or someone - is lurking in the trees. Watching. Waiting.

Who is hiding in the woods? Why are twig figures appearing all over the cottage? And what secrets are lingering in Whispering Hollow?

Reviews for Whispering Hollow: A creepy tale perfect for fans of Stranger Things and Sophie Anderson aged 9+

A gripping tale of dark faerie magic -- Phil Hickes, author of The Haunting of Aveline Jones Whispering Hollow is the perfect book for snuggling down under a blanket on a cool autumn evening while the wind whistles through the trees. Such a brilliant story, eerie and atmospheric and full of adventure! I am new to reading middle grade fiction but I'm loving how magical it is... this is definitely one of my favourites! -- Soph’s Book Club * NetGalley * When I think about how many Neolithic stones with holes in that I've dabbled in and through over the course of my life so far then it's a wonder that I'm alive but I will think twice about even touching one again after reading this book! Genuinely terrifying fairy/horror story that will stay with me for a long time. Beautifully written and memorable characters (both heroes and monsters). Very highly recommended for those not of a nervous disposition! -- Jenny Jones (Librarian) * NetGalley * This is a perfect read for middle grade readers (and adults obvs) who love a bit of a creepy story. Full of folklore and an interesting sibling dynamic, this story is simply wonderful. * NetGalley *
