With writing that is authentic, witty, and wise, Lisa invites us into a deeper understanding of energy-how we cultivate it, how we share it, and how it shapes the spaces we lead and learn in. Her insights will stay with teachers and leaders long after the final page, challenging us to consider not just what we do, but how we are. This book has the power to shift mindsets, renew spirits, and truly transform the way we show up for ourselves and each other."" -Dr. Kim Brown, Director of Elementary Schools ""This is the book I didn't know I needed. As teachers, we read professional development books to learn theory and improve our classroom practices. I haven't read a book that focuses on teachers and our well being. Teachers currently exist in an environment they didn't create and can't control. Lisa provided me with real tools to shift me out of a space of burnout and helplessness. Her ideas can help any educator love the job again."" -Kristi Compton, Literacy Interventionist ""Uplift honors the emotional complexity of teaching while offering a path toward renewal, purpose, and possibility. With empathy, honesty, and clarity, Lisa Duxbury speaks to the heart of educators' lived experiences. She invites teachers on a journey of reflection, rediscovery, and meaningful change-both in the classroom and within themselves."" -Stacey Carr, ACC, Leadership and Well-being Coach ""This book feels like a heartfelt and courageous conversation with a trusted colleague-one who truly understands the challenges and triumphs of life in education. Lisa's words and reflective exercises offer both encouragement and insight. Her unique lens as both an educator and a certified iPEC coach brings a refreshing and holistic perspective, empowering educators not only to grow professionally but to thrive personally. This is more than a professional book-it's a guide to sustainable, joyful teaching from someone who genuinely gets it."" -Dr. Linda Kuhaupt, Director of Literacy
