Deidre S. Hughes is a first-time author whose writing explores faith, theology, and humanity's spiritual journey. Raised in rural Kansas, she has pursued a life of service and adventure across many fields. Her experiences include missionary work in Japan with OMS, serving as a youth pastor, working as a long-haul truck driver, serving in the United States Air Force, and practicing as both a paramedic and registered nurse. In addition to her ministry and service work, Hughes has also worked as a photographer and painter licensed by Major League Baseball to capture the AAA affiliate Round Rock Express. Her diverse life experiences inform her writing and her exploration of faith, culture, and the human search for God. Through the Darkness Light Shines is the first book in the Through the Darkness trilogy.
