Once an outcast, Evie Wilder is the leader of the Dark Fable. But the secret group is not the prestigious band it once was and only Dev, Queenie, and Mad remain. In addition to managing her new responsibilities, Evie also must keep her brother and sister safe and figure out a plan to rescue Jason, who she believes is alive in the Wild Dark.

As the new, ragtag Dark Fable, Evie, Dev, Queenie, and Mad must outwit a dangerous new thief the Basilisk, dodge Batavi mercenaries and the other crews, and defeat a deadly alliance between an old enemy and a former friend . . .

In this heart-pounding sequel, loyalties are tested and no one is safe.
