“From a banger of an opening line through to the last page of the book, The Vengeance pulled me along on one of the most enjoyable reads I’ve had in years. Newman has always been a great writer, and she knocks it out of the park with an incredibly compelling story of piracy, romance, and what family really is. What a joy this was to read!” —CE Murphy, author of Urban Shaman “On a par with the very best of British fantasy.” — Gareth L. Powell, author of the Embers of War trilogy “A delightfully sharp-edged story of blood and steel, told with a equal parts savagery, manners and humour.” —Adrian Tchaikovsky, Hugo and Arthur C. Clarke Award-winning author of Children of Time “Mysterious, witty, and exciting – Morgane is a heroine to die for!” —Anthony Johnston, creator of Atomic Blonde “The Vengeance is a rollicking page-turner not just brimming with adventure, pirates, and vampires but also some opposites attract sapphics!” —Emma Sterner-Radley, author of Snowblooded “In the true spirit of Dumas, The Vengeance is a joyous, fast-paced romp with an absolutely unstoppable protagonist -- anyone who loves swashbuckling adventure is in for a treat with this one!” —Rebecca Fraimow, author of Lady Eve’s Last Con “Taut action and plenty of intrigue.” —Publishers Weekly “Newman’s voice shines through in this moving novel, immediately drawing readers in and enveloping them in a breathtaking, swift-moving story no one will want to put down.” —Booklist
