Martha B. Boone, M.D. is one of the first hundred women to be board-certified in urology in the world. Following her fifteen years of collegiate/graduate studies, Dr. Boone practiced urology in an academic setting for five years and worked in the private practice of urology for over twenty-five years. She was named TOP DOC in urology in Atlanta for over a decade. Dr. Boone retired from urology to write full-time in 2021. Her first novel, The Big Free, fictionalizes her six years at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Her second release, The Unfettered Urologist, is a nonfiction resource that offers an inside look into urology. Today, she resides near Atlanta, GA with her husband and two college-aged stepdaughters.
