Reviews for The Twelve Even Stranger Days of Christmas

‘A treat for anyone looking for an antidote to the usual saccharine Christmas fayre...inventive and original and very entertaining.’ -- NB magazine ‘A quick escape from the stresses of Christmas day!’ -- Crime Review ‘Starting off strongly with [Moore’s] own irresistible take on the Seven Dwarfs… all featuring some element of the macabre or paranormal and infused with a robust sense of humour… they definitely suit the long, shadowy winter evenings, and it’s a fun collection if you like to get a little spooked but not entirely grossed-out.’  -- Herald ‘An indulgence for dark winter nights… transformed folk tales, folk horror… classic ghost stories, tales of supernatural revenge… a gorgeous collection.’  -- Blue Book Balloon blog   Praise for The Twelve Strange Days of Christmas:   ‘Spooky and sassy.’ Sunday Times Crime Club   ‘From a master of the macabre comes a wonderfully weird collection of uncanny tales for the festive season...the ideal gruesome response to all that Christmas schmaltz and sentiment.’ Waterstones Bookseller Favourite
