ABBEY'S BOOKSELLER PICK ----- This is the conclusion of what has been one of my favourite fantasy adventure stories! Imogen and Marie are settling back into ordinary life when greedy Anneshka discovers the access to this world, convinced it is the greatest kingdom she has been prophesised to rule. If that wasn't bad enough, the girls' almost-stepfather is very sick from something he literally picked up in the mines and a pair of baby velecours have appeared to wreak a bit of domestic havoc. The girls know that in order to solve the problems and thwart Anneshka they have to return through the door, if only they could find it... Characters from the first book (The Shadow Moth) reappear, old friends and foes turn up, and new denizens are introduced, and all-in-all this sparkling and pacy book, with Chris Riddell's fabulous illustrations, is a wholly satisfying reading experience! With all the magic of Narnia and the humour of Mary Poppins, this is a future middle grade fantasy classic - and the beginning of an unforgettable journey... Imogen should be nice to her little sister Marie. She should be nice to her mum's boyfriend too. And she certainly shouldn't follow a strange silver moth through a door in a tree. But then... who does what they're told?

This is one of those books. Prepare to be spellbound. - Carlie Sorosiak, author of I, Cosmo
