Sheree Elaine is passionate about reading, specifically reading to children. So, naturally, her writing journey was sparked by the idea of a series of books that could be read aloud to her own children and enjoyed by parents and children around the world. She's a city girl who married a farm boy and together they have jumped from small town to small town for over 10 years. Sheree finds time to write during naptime and bedtime, working around the schedules of her husband and four kids. Sheree has a degree in Communications, over a decade of parenting experience, and a big black dog named Ren.

Reviews for The King Kids and the Malfunctioning Mess

"Jake B. 5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful early reader mystery Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2022I read this book with my 9 year old and although it is geared for slightly younger readers (it's a beginner chapter book), he really enjoyed it. In fact, he insisted we finished it in one sitting. At the end, he was already asking for the next book! I loved the book. The characters were very relatable. The main character is a 9 year old boy and other characters are his parents, twin siblings and baby sister and his robot science project, Robo Ren. I felt right at home reading the cute interactions between family members as they solved the mystery together. It reminded me of reading Cam Jansen mysteries growing up--minus the photographic memory of course. The clues to solving the mystery were woven subtly throughout the text. Even I didn't have it all put together before it was solved. Overall, I thought it was a delightful read; definitely one your early reader will enjoy! Mary J. Bingham 5.0 out of 5 stars Fun chapter book beginning readers Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2023 Verified Purchase I love reading books to my grandkids. This is a chapter book that my beginning readers can read to me. It's short enough to keep them engaged with that feeling of accomplishment of reading a whole book. It is a positive model of real life family interactions and is a simple mystery book that can be a stepping stone more advanced mysteries as they get older. I highly recommend! Reading for Fun! 5.0 out of 5 stars A child-friendly mystery! Reviewed in Canada on November 16, 2022 Verified Purchase This is a child-friendly mystery happened to the King family! When preparing the robot project for the Science Expo, John finds out that Dad's special pen is missing! Can John and his siblings find the missing pen? You should check it out from this fun chapter book! I will read this to my students too! Highly recommend! Teacher 5.0 out of 5 stars Very Clever Writing! Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2022 Verified Purchase I always love a good mystery and enjoy those happy solutions at the end. Being a retired school teacher, I give the author two thumbs up for the creative way she keeps the attention of kids who love to solve a problem and just enjoy reading! JH 5.0 out of 5 stars Family Friendly and Enjoyable Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2022Review from my 10 year old: Great characters! Clever and fun to read. And of course the best way to know if she liked the book is her first question after finishing the book ""Is there more to read?"" Mom review: I love the family interactions, positive and loving across the board. Role models you want your kids to see. It was a quick read but enjoyable and could be read over and over. My suggestion is it is best suited for kids 9 and under but certainly entertaining for slightly older."
