Pamela was recognised as a Victorian Telstra Businesswoman of the year for her work with Plan International and the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. Pamela is a Councillor with Hobsons Bay City Council and CEO at Homeward Bound, an international leadership initiative for women in STEMM. She is an Australian ambassador for the U.S. Certified Fundraising Executive Program.
Pamela joined Zoos Victoria in 2010 and lead the Foundation for five years. In this time, she developed our philanthropy approach and strategy, and she delivered the Safe Haven campaign, which raised over $20 million for improved facilities, better animal welfare outcomes and a greater contribution to fighting extinction. Pamela leads with a combination of head and heart. By articulating a clear strategy and plan, she enabled the Foundation Board and Zoo Executives to support her work and to actively contribute. Pamela is fierce in delivering targets and understating the financial impacts of philanthropy work. Dr Jenny Gray, CEO, Zoos Victoria Pamela is a very effective fundraiser who achieves success with enthusiasm, strength of purpose and grace. I have known Pamela in staff fundraising roles and as a consultant providing strategy to fundraising leaders and to charity boards. Her accomplishments have been achieved across all charitable sectors and all fundraising types - these are rare achievements and position Pamela well to write The Fundraiser's Handbook. Dr Daniel McDiarmid, Director, AskRight I have no doubt you will benefit from Pamela's fantastic new book. I've known Pamela for almost 20 years and have loved working with her in two major fundraising roles: Plan International and Bush Heritage Australia. Pamela is a visionary with years of fundraising and marketing experience who excites others, achieves results and brings you on the journey with her. Bev McLennan
