""I love that Joy zeroes in on what she needed to do to break free from her abuser's lies and manipulation as well as her own misapplied spiritual beliefs. This book doesn't just explain and define abusive tactics, the accompanying workbook helps the victim heal by learning to walk in truth and embrace her God-given identity so that she grows to be a God-centered woman instead of a man or marriage-centered woman."" - Leslie Vernick, MSW, counselor, relationship coach, speaker, author of 7 books the Emotionally Destructive Relationship and Emotionally Destructive Marriage ""I'm so thankful for the way she has listened to those impacted by trauma and has responded with updates to the workbook in this new edition. If you have been impacted by trauma or help those who have, Joy's work will be invaluable. I highly recommend it."" - Elyse Fitzpatrick, author of ""Worthy: Celebrating the Value of Women ""As a counselor, I've seen firsthand how Joy's work has transformed the lives of survivors and those who walk alongside them. Her book doesn't just illuminate the depths of abuse-it shines the light of God's love and truth, providing a pathway to healing and freedom."" - Darby Strickland, Counselor and Author of Is It Abuse? A Biblical Guide to Identifying Domestic Abuse and Helping Victims ""This book not only extends hope and healing to survivors but also equips counselors, pastors, and friends to walk alongside them with grace and understanding. With its gentle and manageable approach, Called to Peace is an invaluable tool for both individual counseling and group settings, offering biblically rooted hope."" -Emily Dempster, M.A, Training Center Advisor, Advanced Certified Biblical Counselor (ABC), Association of Biblical Counselors ""I highly recommend this resource for both those in need of care and fellow caregivers."" Dr. Ann Maree Goudzwaard, Founder and Executive Director, Help[H]er ""The book and workbook set me on a better course theologically and practically with helpful tools for recovery. Now I'm blessed to share this wisdom with others in a small support group. Thanking the Lord for leading me to these materials and the ministry at CTP! Saved my life in so many ways!"" - Ariella L. ""It helps you to understand God's heart for you as you wrestle with the lies, the sorrow and fear, and maybe for the first time you will hear that you are loved, protected and cared for by your Heavenly Father."" - Cathy S.
