Hendrik Maarten writes playful, musical verse for children and families. He co-creates the Blue Fork Rhymes series with illustrator Estella. Based in Australia, his stories mix rhythm, gentle mischief and kind endings that help new readers fall in love with books. Estella is an Australian artist illustrator and surface designer. She creates her varied works in many mediums and loves illustrating picture books and chapter books. She also adapts selected art pieces into patterns for textiles and home decor. With author Hendrik Maarten she co-creates Blue Fork Rhymes and contributes to several kid-focused series known for warm humour, clear storytelling and friendly, expressive characters.
