Chapter content includes a range of different contexts for teaching and learning. The content is very supportive for developing teaching assistants professional skills, knowledge and understanding. Each chapter includes a selection of bite- size pieces of information where theory, policy and examples from practice are clearly interrelated. The use of diagrams, tables and charts, case studies and suggestions for activities as well as prompts for reflection and further study are most helpful in terms of appealing to the audience. The book is interesting and easy to read. - Jane Lingham, Canterbury Christ ChurchI like the layout of the book, it is easy to read and most importantly it provides both the tutor and students with relevant questions, answers, case studies so they can relate theory to practice. - Denise Nannetti, North Hertfordshire CollegeThis is an excellent text book! - Angela Normanton, Blackburn College
