Wasantha Rajapakshe is an Associate Professor at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) in the Department of Business Management. She worked in academics in a variety of roles before to enrolling at SLIIT. She was Head of the Department of Business Administration and Assistant Professor at Jubail University College in Saudi Arabia. She also held positions at St. Theresa International University in Thailand as an assistant professor and assistant vice- rector for academic affairs. She was also an adjunct professor at Troy University in the United States (Thailand Programme). She was employed by the University of Sri Jayawardenepura in Sri Lanka as a Senior Lecturer in Grade 1 in the Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce. She is experienced in teaching postgraduate and undergraduate management students. She has overseen PhD, MBA, and BBA students as a research supervisor at several domestic and international universities. She teaches graduate and undergraduate students at SLIIT in strategic management and human capital management (HCM). Her areas of expertise in research and teaching are organizational behavior and human capital management (HCM). She has researched the difficulties associated with public policy and the human elements of organizations.
