Praise for Previous Editions: ""This text is good for students that are new to studying American politics and government, while not being overly remedial for those who have advanced knowledge of social welfare policy. The examples, case studies, and graphs are easy to follow and provide a strong foundation for helping readers think through the policies, politics, and ideologies that make the United States Welfare System an object of interest for scholars, practitioners, and students."" David Hornung, CUNY York College ""A comprehensive policy text responsive to current trends in the US. Organization flows well when integrating in a course."" Joan Groessl, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay ""Social Policy and Social Justice, edited by Michael Reisch, examines contemporary social welfare policy and policy-making through a critical social justice lens. It is comprehensive and current, providing socio-political context for social workers in understanding the limitations of current social policy, thereby providing rationale for political action to promote more equitable programs and regulations."" Judy Barnstone, New Mexico Highlands University ""Great textbook! I highly recommend it!"" Tamika Baldwin-Clark, Prairie View A&M University
