Learning her kayaking companions are alive, Sarah's focus turns to her home city of Victoria and to her family. Making the arduous journey back home, she finds her once prestigious city half-destroyed along with her childhood home. Relying on her resilience and strength, Sarah digs deep as she faces the worst of humanity, slowly losing hope in what the future will bring.

As her community begins to adjust to their new normal, Sarah starts to awaken under the guidance of old friends and new. As they lean upon each other for support, Sarah decides to join her kayaking companion once again to complete their journey of Circumnavigating the Island in memory of all that they lost and all that they are about to find.
