Jessie Lane has had a passion for music since she was a young child. She started playing the piano at the age of five and started teaching at the age of nineteen. This lead her to receive a BMus (Hons) degree from the University of Windsor. As a mother of a young child and a piano teacher to over forty students, she understands the difficulties children have performing for the first time in front of a crowd. She hopes that this book encourages all children to never give up and to continue practicing their instrument, even when it gets hard.
