Dick Smakman is Lecturer at Leiden University, The Netherlands, where he teaches courses in Second Language Acquisition and Sociolinguistics. He is the author of Accent Building (2015), Discovering Sociolinguistics (2018), and Clear English Pronunciation (2020).
