""This collection of ten essays in Reformation studies honoring Scott Manetsch admirably highlights many key themes of his own work: pastoral care, engagement with Scripture, and the enduring significance of the Reformation--highly recommended."" --Karin Maag, Director, H. Henry Meeter Center for Calvin Studies ""Pastoral Care in the Protestant Tradition is not only a wonderful resource for pastors, historians, theologians, and biblical interpreters, but it is a marvelous and well-deserved tribute to the life, ministry, teaching, and scholarship of Scott Manetsch. The thoughtful essays in this excellent volume, written by friends, colleagues, and former students, provide insightful looks at various Protestant traditions while connecting themes of church history, pastoral theology, and the high calling of the care of souls. John Woodbridge and Doug Sweeney add exclamation points with the opening and closing words for their longtime friend and colleague. Congratulations to Jeff Fisher and Martin Klauber for their fine oversight of this significant project!"" --David S. Dockery, President, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
