In 2012 a rather embarrassing event brought Virginia to her knees, literally. Life tripped her up and in doing so introduced her to a state of peace she'd never felt before. Seeking to maintain that peaceful state within her busy legal practice and otherwise turbulent personal life was the catalyst for self-inquiry and exploration into the meaning of peace and life satisfaction. In a move from practising lawyer to becoming a Peace Specialist and Nationally accredited Mediator, Virginia understood that we are collectively regulating ourselves away from the peace we seek. With a Diploma in Yoga Teaching as the basis for further inquiry, Virginia spent 10 years studying with world leaders in the field of consciousness and physics to understand that the keys to peace are found in how we respond energetically to our natural world.Putting this into practice, her 25+ years of experience within the legal system and her own lived experiences afforded her a deeper understanding of how to align naturally with the state of paradise.

Reviews for Not Guilty: Finding peace in three simple steps

"""Not Guilty. Finding Peace in Three Simple Steps deserves a resounding ""HURRAH"" for the Funhouse. As a self-help aficionado with a bedside table groaning under the weight of supposed enlightenment, I must say this book is an absolute gem. Taking the time to savor its pages was a delight. It resonated deeply with me, especially as I navigated through the intriguing corridors of the Jailhouse rules. The author, Virginia, skillfully brings these rules to life, and I couldn't help but recognize and embrace the big emotions they stirred within me. Virginia's personal story, seamlessly woven into the narrative, added a layer of authenticity that's often elusive in this genre. It provided a unique perspective, allowing me to connect with the content on a deeper level. What stood out most was the nonjudgmental tone-creating a safe space for self-reflection without the weight of criticism. I really appreciated the ""Satisfying Tip"" at the end of each chapter. It was more than just advice; it was a pause button, prompting me to ponder and contemplate my place in that moment. This simple yet profound insight added a valuable dimension to the overall reading experience. I must commend Virginia for embarking on a journey that is not just raw, vulnerable, and courageous but also incredibly insightful. ""Not Guilty"" is more than a book; it's a companion in the expedition of self-exploration. Kudos to Virginia for crafting a narrative that invites readers to navigate the twists and turns of self-discovery with both sincerity and wisdom and most of all a massive dollop of humor."" Nicolle Kopping-Pavars, Lawyer, Canada ""Wow. Just wow. I have no words, yet all the words. The book took me on the most incredible journey, and I know that it will do the same for many others too. I consider myself to be relatively self-aware and have a fair amount of tools in the old belt for when speed bumps pop up but this activated me on another level. I loved the humour littered throughout, enjoyed the real-life examples used and was chuffed (stealing this from her as I love this word and haven't heard it in forever!) that she brought a refreshing lightness to this business of delving into our dark recesses."" Kellie Boyd, Australia. ""This book is brilliant. First of all, it was very funny and easy to read. Virginia's humour throughout each chapter, made it feel like I was on a little journey with her! Virginia's explanation of things allows people to access a higher state of awareness. To me, this book is like part of an instruction manual for understanding spiritual enlightenment. I love this book!"" Madeline Hughes, UK ""Virginia's writing is exceptional, as she delves into important, often overlooked topics. Her talent for incorporating humour and personal stories makes the content relatable to everyday situations. Readers are sure to gain valuable insights and learn about processes to achieve positive change. I am confident that after reading her work, readers will aspire to live in a place filled with fun and freedom rather than confinement."" Anne Poole, Author of Believe in Yourself, Australia"
