MIKE EWING has been skiing for 70 years and teaching for 50. He's worked in nearly every aspect of the ski industry and is the former President of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA-AASI) Northern Rocky Mountain Division. He currently teaches at Big Sky Resort in Montana.
My Life in Winters is a personal, insightful, and emotional story of a life surrounded by mountains, snow, family, and friends. Mike Ewing pens a page-turning adventure of one of the most explosive eras in snow sports. Every page is filled with winter characters such as the Mahre twins, Wayne Wong, Lindsey Vonn, Warren Miller, Mikaela Shiffrin, and beyond. His backdrops are the iconic ski areas of North America, and around the world, all wrapped together with the history of the brands we use today. Ewing was there for it all and his story reminds us that nice guys do finish first. Dan Egan, Author of 30 Years in a White Haze and honored member of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame My Life in Winters adds good color to a great stroll down skiing history's retrospect road, all the way to including the 2022 Olympics and World Cup. I particularly liked the behind-the-curtain look into some of our most popular brands. Phil Pugliese, Owner, SkiTalk.com Mike Ewing gives the reader a front row seat to the evolution of the ski industry in the U.S. His experiences and personal stories make you feel like you were there skiing right next to him.
