Annie McCann is an Indonesian-Australian emcee and author, from Western Sydney. The founder of multiple literary networks, Annie is passionate about diversity and representation in books, media and pop culture and works tirelessly to ‘bridge the gap’ in the creative space. On her limited days off, Annie is either jamming to Michael Jackson’s greatest hits or cheering on her NRL Football team, Parramatta Eels.
""In My Harimau King, Annie McCann introduces us to a truly unique and enthralling world, rendered in exquisite detail so that the non-stop action and evocative characters leap off the page. I loved these young teens and their unmatched tenacity; I was rooting for them with each turn of the page."" - Wai Chim, author of The Surprising Power of a Good Dumpling, shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Literary Awards, Australia. ""A fresh new fantasy with fascinating insights into West Javanese culture and history."" - Leanne Yong, author of Two Can Play That Game, a CBCA Shortlisted Book of the Year.
