Stephanie Unale lives in the Verde Valley in Arizona with her two young boys and husband. They enjoy being outside, playing board games together and spending time with friends and family. She is the author of My Favorite Superhero. When she was young, she certainly didn't know about a personal relationship with Him. After finding Jesus later in life, she now has a passion for helping little ones connect with Jesus, presenting Him as a true friend--someone to talk to, lean on, and draw strength from. While she's new to writing, Stephanie hopes to write more books with similar themes, helping children see Jesus in an exciting new light and offering tools for emotional regulation through Jesus and the Fruits of the Spirit. While doing research for emotional regulation techniques, Stephanie found many different resources helpful and wanted to put all of her findings in one place to help parents in much less time. She and Sheri Leigh Myers created Loving Discipline based on your Child's Brain Development, a course for parents and grandparents to navigate behavior challenges and provide strategies to help calm young minds and teach rather than punish, based on brain science. Amanda Kunkel is a Christian mom dedicated to her faith, her husband, and their three kids. She also homeschools her children. Alongside her sister Stephanie, Amanda co-founded a digital design shop, and it was during this collaboration that the idea of My Favorite Superhero was born. The concept immediately resonated with both of them, and they recognized its importance not only for their children but also for their mental health. Amanda believes in the significance of a strong foundation in Christ. Grateful to have been introduced to Jesus at an early age, Amanda didn't fully understand the depth of His sacrifice at the time. Although she lost her way during her teenage years, she reconnected with her faith through a new church and was baptized again. Having that foundation in her relationship with Jesus--knowing that even when she strays, she can always return--has made all the difference in her life. Amanda's desire is for her children, and all of God's children, to have that same understanding. An artist from a young age, Amanda discovered her passion for the arts through technical theater, where she explored set design, painting, costumes, props, and stage management. More recently, she has designed logos for film crews and businesses. This is Amanda's first published work. She has been happily married for 17 years and lives in the country outside Atlanta with her family.
