Children will be able to identify with animals already known, and will learn some new Savannah animals that may be unknown, making this a great teaching resource for music education, as well as geography and life sciences. Children and adults alike will fall in love with the lovable characters and the vibrant colorful illustrations. Not only does the book teach about the individual instruments in an orchestra, but it teaches children that coming together as a community to play music together can be fun, while leaving behind our differences. It shares a message of music bringing people together globally to create peace. Michele, the author, is a very talented writer that combines her own love of music and a desire to spread peace in the world through making music. The illustrator, KeriAnne Jelinek, has done an incredible job at depicting the story and bringing all of the characters to life. The illustrations are whimsical, fun, colorful and highly desirable to children of all ages. I highly recommend this book to parents, teachers, music educators and to students alike. It is a well crafted and takes you on a fun adventure into the animals and instruments at the watering hole.
