Shari Lowe, M.S. is a professor of psychology at two community colleges in Michigan, following a career as a clinical therapist for adolescents. She holds an M.S. in clinical psychology from Eastern Michigan University. She serves on a committee that helps students navigate barriers to college. Professor Lowe has been an advocate for mental health for over 25 years in the fields of therapy, volunteering, and education. Maria Gross, M.A. is a professor of psychology at a community college in Michigan, where she also serves as the coordinator for a program that helps students navigate barriers to college such as college readiness, academic language, and other external factors. Professor Gross is co-chair of a Human Rights and Wellness Club, created a mindfulness room, and developed a free mental health course for students at her college. She holds an M.A. in counseling from Central Michigan University.
