Sheila Marshall is a child of God. She grew up in East St. Louis, IL, and attended public school. Sheila has a Bachelor of Social Work degree and a master's degree in professional counseling with certification in school counseling. She is a licensed professional counselor and is nationally certified. Sheila is a devoted wife and mother of one son, one godson, and three dogs. She faithfully serves as director of the children's ministry at the church she attends and previously served as a board member at a local school. Pastor Daryl Rice Sr. was called to the ministry at the tender age of twelve in 1982. Throughout his career, Pastor Rice served as assistant pastor at three different churches before accepting the assignment to pastor his first church at the age of 24 in 1994. Pastor Rice served as pastor at this church for twenty-five years before being led by God to birth and pastor his current church in July 2019. Pastor Daryl Rice Sr. has a B.S. degree in Christian Ministries and Business MGMT. Minister Laverne Rice was called to the ministry in 1974. She is the mother of five adult children whom she reared in a Christian upbringing alongside her husband, the father of her adult children. Minister Laverne Rice received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1985. She taught second grade for nineteen years and third grade for four years. Minister Laverne Rice also served as a chaplain at a children's residential unit for ten years. At the children's residential unit, she ministered and became a mother figure for young men ages twelve through nineteen years of age who were victims of sexual abuse. Minister Laverne Rice was the facilitator of women's fellowship and bible study. Today, she is a mother of the church, assists with the women's ministry, and is a part of the ministerial staff.
