""Chris Loveday is a pioneer with deep practical experience of AI across education, especially back office. This book is a must read."" Sir Anthony Seldon, Educator and Author ""The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a better outcome. As a pioneering school business professional, Chris Loveday shows us that by thinking differently and being brave with the application of technology, we can find a new way and a better way. If you're serious about improving your approach to operations and want to enjoy the associated capacity gains, this is a must-read."" Stephen Morales, Chief Executive Officer, Institute of School Business Leadership ""An inspiring and accessible guide, this book is essential reading-a masterclass in navigating change and driving digital transformation with confidence and vision."" Julia Adamson MBE, Education Director, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT ""Leading the Shift turns AI from a buzzword into a practical, ethically grounded playbook for colleges. Loveday blends hands-on experience with a deep understanding of culture and safeguarding, producing the first guide I'm happy to hand to any leader who asks how to make AI work-safely and at scale-in real educational settings."" David Foster, Founding Partner, ADSP and Author ""A refreshingly honest guide that demonstrates how AI can transform educational operations-not just classrooms. The author's methodical approach provides invaluable guidance for any institution embarking on their AI journey."" Professor Rose Luckin, University College London, Founder educateventures.com, Author and Speaker ""This isn't about the latest tech trend or adding more to your plate, it's a very down-to-earth, practical guide on how AI can actually help schools and colleges run more efficiently. It's packed with real experiences, not just theory, showing how AI can, where appropriate, reduce admin, ease pressure on staff, and give back valuable time to focus on what really matters. The chapters are all broken down and signposted section by section so you can dip in and out of the book identifying specific topics as needed. It's clear, honest and packed with ideas you can use right away. I recommend it for anyone in education who's curious about using technology in a way that's thoughtful, purposeful and genuinely helpful."" Al Kingsley MBE, Multi Academy Trust Chair, EdTech CEO and Author ""Chris Loveday has first-hand and front-line experience of delivering practical applications in AI in a college, and this shows in his excellent publication. This is a treasure trove of examples of AI in action, and it addresses head-on the pitfalls and benefits of introducing a rich variety of AI-supported developments. This publication helpfully encourages the reader to view AI through a lens of positive opportunity, rather than one of anxiety - about plagiarism in assessment, for example - that has been a feature of much of the earlier dialogue. But this is also a pragmatic resource and does not shy away from addressing the real difficulties and challenges associated with implementing new ideas and identifying new opportunities, which confront organisations that are dealing with such a transformational development changing at astonishing speed."" Bill Watkin CBE, CEO, Sixth Form College Association
