James Halliday AM is Australia’s foremost authority on wine today. He co-founded two successful wineries and spent decades as an active wine judge in Australia and overseas. He has written for many newspapers and magazines, and authored more than 80 books. In 2010, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for services to the wine industry. In 2014, the Royal Melbourne Wine Awards established the James Halliday Trophy for Best Pinot Noir of Show, recognising James's contributions to the Australian wine industry.
