Originally from South Florida, Sally Gales graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Doctorate in Creative Writing and lives in Glasgow with her husband and their large, sooky greyhound. She combines her background in architecture and obsession with forgotten ruins to create fantastical worlds to frame her exploration of larger issues such as belonging and identity. iNSiDE is her debut novel and was one of the winners of the Imagined Futures Prize.
""iNSiDE's twisty and pacy feel kept me avidly reading as I tried to work out what was really going on Outside alongside Naya in this fresh take on how we see and connect with the spaces we inhabit and those we chose to ignore. I enjoyed the concept which sometimes felt like a blend of sci-fi and fantasy, especially with the way the abilities of the Outsiders manifested."" - Kenechi Udogu, award-winning author of Augmented ""S. A. Gales has created a wonderfully vivid world, where buildings and nature become characters in their own right. I loved every moment I spent with determined heroine, Naya, as she infiltrates dangerous enemy, the Spiravits, and discovers truths that will change everything she's ever known."" - Kathryn Clark, author of Things I Learned While I Was Dead ""Dystopian worldbuilding at its most original - sci-fi with a gentle touch of magic. Perfect for fans of true genre mash-ups."" - Melissa Welliver
