Born in Barbados Dr Lynda Ince-Greenaway emigrated to England with her mother and siblings during the Windrush years. After the devasting loss of her husband at the age of twenty, she qualified as a Social Worker and dedicated her life to serving others by working within the child care specialist branch of social work. Her love of teaching took her into higher education where she made a significant contribution to students on a journey to find upward mobility and personal fulfilment. Ince-Greenaway set up a freelance business as a trainer delivering a range of professional courses for Local Authorities and Independent Fostering Agencies. She is well known for her skills in developing and delivering stimulating course content. She is an educationalist and life coach. She is a motivational speaker and became a TED speaker during 2023. She has used her knowledge, skills, experience and expertise to coach on such issues as leadership, personal wellbeing, and resilience. She is the author of Making it Alone and Hard Truth: Growing out of Adversity.
