In The Immortals of Australian Horse Racing, best-selling author Alan Whiticker tells the stories of the 24 most legendary racehorses. The elite field featured is part of our country's folklore. Even casual punters and once-a-year Cup punters in the office sweep would know the names of the horses featured in this book.

Phar Lap, Bernborough, Tulloch, Kingston Town, Manikato, Makybe Diva, Black Caviar and Winx … their deeds on the racetrack have gone down in history.

This book will settle several arguments about the greatest thoroughbreds of all time and no doubt starts a few more.

There are great racehorses and there are champion racehorses. Then there are the immortals.
