Sarah Adleman was born and raised on the bayous of Houston and in the swamps of Louisiana. After obtaining an undergraduate degree from The University of St. Thomas, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bangladesh and an English teacher in China. She has worked as a Certified Yoga Therapist since 2007, specializing in grief and loss. After earning a Master of Fine Arts from UTEP, she wrote the creative non-fiction book ""The Lampblack Blue of Memory: My Mother Echoes"" (Tolsun Books, 2018) about the death of her mother. The book was nominated and won several awards. Sarah also holds a Master of Divinity from Naropa University and has dedicated her path to meeting others in the face of pain and sorrow.
