“This is indeed, as advertised, noir fiction without any restraints; relentlessly violent, obscene and amoral, it’s 600 pages of hilarity verging on hysteria. If that is the kind of thing you like then, firstly, you’ll love this. And secondly, don’t forget you’ve to sign in at the police station once a week or they’ll put you away again.” —The Morning Star Acclaim for the Work of Bruen and Starr “Two of the crime fiction world’s brightest talents join forces for…one of the top guilty pleasures of the year.” —Chicago Sun-Times “This tense, witty, cold-blooded noir…reads seamlessly—and mercilessly.” —Entertainment Weekly “A full-tilt, rocking homage to noir novels of the 1950s…smart, trashy fun.” —Publishers Weekly, starred review “I want to kill these guys – except I can’t stop laughing long enough.” —Lee Child
