Clive Holt grew up in South Africa where he served in the South African Defence Force as a conscript in the late 80's, which saw him deployed into Angola for the latter stages of the Angolan war. Clive later emigrated to Australia with his family and in 2005 he wrote and published At Thy Call We Did Not Falter, a frontline account of his experience in the Angolan war and subsequent struggles with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The book was well received by the veteran community as it detailed Clive's research into PTSD and his journey 'from darkness into light' and served as a beacon of hope for many others experiencing mental health issues.Through a combination of his own lived experiences and passion for mental health, Clive has worked extensively with veterans and assisted them on their own healing journeys. He has worked in the healthcare industry for over 15 years, during which time he was involved with the design and implementation of mental health and suicide prevention programs. Green Stop Signs is the culmination of this work and Clive's ongoing research into understanding trauma and how we respond to it and, ultimately, to have the confidence to seek support by asking for help.
