He has served as assistant professor in Rashid Latif college of Pharmacy and Ziauddin University after his Ph.D. During his research work, Dr. Muhammad Shahzad Aslam had worked on the metabolomics analysis, fragmentation analysis of bioactive compounds, polyherbal formulation and their interactions in wound healing. His area of expertise is phytochemistry, Pharmacognosy, green extraction technique, wound healing studies, animal modeling, novel plant extraction methods, and green solvents.
