Shenise Truesdell is the CEO and founder of the Behavior Etiquette Institute (BEI) and a proud Miami native with deep community ties. With nearly twenty years as a civil servant and experience in government consulting as a procurement professional, she combines her expertise with a passion for teaching civility, decorum, diplomacy, and soft skills. Her background in cognitive behavior therapy, etiquette, and life coaching informs her holistic approach. As an etiquette consultant, Shenise emphasizes what she calls Etiquette 101: Be kind to you, first. She believes self-kindness means making tough but healthy choices, especially in relationships. She also stresses the importance of etiquette and social competence in helping women and young people thrive in a rapidly changing world, equipping them to advance without leaving others behind through her Behavior Etiquette Institute consulting business. Raised by a teenage mother who valued the ""Golden Rules"" and lessons from beauty school she attended as a kid, Shenise grew up with a deep appreciation for compassion, kindness, and social grace. These lessons became the foundation of her success and inspired her mission. Renowned as ""The Teenage Whisperer,"" Shenise guides young adults (and women) toward confidence and mastery of social interactions. A former participant in President Obama's Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), she has worked with diverse professionals worldwide, fueling her commitment to culture, diversity, and inclusion. She has also served on the United Way board, advancing youth and women's initiatives. Shenise holds a master's in public administration and a bachelor's in legal studies. She is a cognitive behavior professional and plans to finish pursuing her PhD in social psychology.
