Dr Rajesh Thomas is an Interventional Pulmonology leader from Australia with a passion for bronchoscopy education and training. He leads the Interventional Bronchoscopy clinical and fellowship programs at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth and has keen research interests in EBUS and navigational bronchoscopy. He is a Clinical Professor at the University of Western Australia, Perth where he runs an acclaimed workshop series for advanced bronchoscopy training. He was the convenor of the Australian Interventional Pulmonology Interest group and is also the President of the 2026 World Congress of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology in Melbourne. Dr. Kazuhiro Yasufuku is an internationally known Thoracic Surgeon with specific expertise in minimal invasive thoracic surgery and minimal invasive diagnostic procedures. He co-developed the Convex Probe Endobronchial Ultrasound and has successfully introduced the clinical application of EBUS-TBNA in Thoracic Oncology. He is the Head of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at the Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network. He is also Professor and Chair of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at University of Toronto. He holds the RFG Pearson – RJ Ginsberg Chair in Thoracic Surgery and William Coco Chair in Surgical Innovation for Lung Cancer.
