Isabelle Palmer is a novelist and short story writer. She is English and was born and raised in London. She started writing stories as a small child. Her writing is emotional and intense and communicates with the reader in a clear and unaffected way, sometimes dramatic but also poetic and thoughtful. She describes human relationships with sympathetic understanding. Isabelle is bilingual and has lived and travelled extensively in Spain where El Barranco, her first novel is based. She is a devoted aficionado of Argentine Tango and has studied and danced tango for many years. Both tango and Spain feature strongly in this novel. Isabelle has three children and now lives in Berkshire.
