CJ is a mom, a nursing student, a writer, and a professional chaos coordinator (primarily thanks to her kids and cat, Squish, who is essentially a tiny, furry toddler). Her two daughters and angel son are her biggest inspirations, pushing her to be a better person every day-though they also ensure she never knows what ""free time"" feels like. Her journey into emergency medicine began as an EMT on a critical care ambulance, where she also worked for a couple of fire departments from 2018 to 2023. Then she took a scenic route through the safety world, working for some big-name companies before realizing her destiny was calling-probably over the ambulance radio. Now, she's back in healthcare as a nursing student, determined to return to emergency medicine because where else can she thrive in organized chaos *and* have an excuse to drink too much coffee? When CJ isn't studying or working, she's either reading or writing-usually while a cat with no respect for personal space crawls on her for attention or to throw her little fuzzy ball for fetch. She published her first book, Letters to Lilly, in 2011 at the wise old age of 21, and while it was definitely her ""baby author"" project, she still looks back at it with fondness (and the occasional cringe). Above all, CJ believes life is meant to be laughed through, whether it's by being silly with her kids, embracing the unpredictability of parenthood, or negotiating with Squish, who is convinced she runs the household.
