“Supervising coaches in groups may seem a straightforward task, as those who participate, by definition, can listen well, understand how to support reflective process for others, know what to be careful about and when to challenge. Why then do group supervision processes go astray? Most negative experiences of supervision happen in groups. Reading this book will help supervisors to minimise this risk.” Tatiana Bachkirova, Professor of Coaching Psychology at Oxford Brookes University “This really is a ’practical guide’ to supervision groups, which takes the reader through a helpful approach from ‘configuring the group’ to the ending of a group, with the CIRCLE framework. A well researched and credible book which will undoubtedly be a valuable guide for both new and group coaching supervisors alike.” Dr Julia Carden PhD, PCC, FCIPD, Module Convenor Professional Certificate in Supervision - Henley Business School; Coach and Coaching Supervisor “Coaching Supervision in Groups: a practical guide offers very helpful practical frameworks for group supervision. With its focus on creating a safe space for group supervision participants to feel vulnerable and its attentions to matters of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice and Belonging it is a timely publication that I recommend for anyone in the practice of group supervision.” Kirsten Dierolf, ICF MCC, ACTC, EMCC MP, ITCA MP, ESIA, SolutionsAcademy “In my experience, different group supervisors work very differently to each other. The authors of this book bring multiple perspectives and experiences to the table in a text that will prove invaluable to novice and experienced group supervisors alike, helping them to develop their own personal approach to the work.” Dr Paul Lawrence, Principal Leading Systemically & Honorary Research Associate Oxford Brookes University “Delighted that such a comprehensive book is now available to group leaders and those who train them. The reader is expertly guided by Seto and Lucas, whose long experience in this field, gives the reader crucial insights into contemporary practice - and clear mapping of key areas of coaching supervision groups.” Edna Murdoch, Director Coaching Supervision Academy “In their latest ‘must read’, Michelle and Lily step us through the group supervision journey with clarity of thought, precision, and stimulating reflective questions to embed our learning. ‘Coaching Supervision Groups’ fills the current gap in consolidated knowledge for group supervisors and trainee supervisors to improve their practice in this growing and essential area.” Ed Parsloe, CEO, The OCM Group Ltd
