She is interested in medical education (in which she is about to start a funded MD) and global women's health, having recently spent six months as lead obstetrician for the Rwanda Obstetric and Midwifery Programme, a guideline development, training and quality improvement project run by UNICEF and the RCPCH, aiming to reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. Liz comes highly recommended by Brian, lead editor of the last edition, and the plan is for her to take over as leader and main corresponding editor under his mentorship.
