In a world where denominational lines blur and centuries-old traditions compete for authority, the question of the ""one, true church"" remains as urgent as ever. Church Choices invites readers on a rigorous, historical, and biblical journey to rediscover the original church of Jesus Christ--not as an institution defined by human tradition, but as a spiritual body rooted in apostolic teaching and united in faith and obedience. With clarity and precision, the author critically engages both Roman Catholic and Protestant traditions, exposing internal divisions and doctrines that depart from the New Testament pattern. This book is a call to restoration. For the student of theology and for the Christian who wants to know not just what to believe but why, this book offers a compelling case for rejecting sectarianism and embracing a deeper, biblical vision of Christ's one, holy, and universal church--the true body of Christ.

Reviews for Church Choices: Catholicism, Calvinism, and One Man's Search for the True Church of Jesus Christ

""Dr. Houston guides the reader through the various theologies, doctrines, and practices of the Catholic and Protestant divide in search for the church of the New Testament. Given the biases and preconceptions that will inevitably be brought to the book, his conclusions will not be accepted by every reader, but all should carefully read and consider what he has to say about this important issue. Discussions of eternally significant matters should always cause us to thoughtfully evaluate where we stand, and this book engages in such a conversation."" --Nathan Ward, Professor of Biblical Studies, Florida College ""Church Choices is an accessible and charitable introduction to important distinctions between some very popular religious groups. Houston attempts to present beliefs fairly while also questioning how they align with Scripture. It is a welcome text to encourage believers to interrogate where they stand."" --Todd M. Brenneman, Dean, V. P. Black College of Biblical Studies/Kearley Graduate School of Theology, Faulkner University, Alabama
