Just as the seasons of the natural world transition from one to the next, so also the seasons of our life transform and shift.

God's creation reminds us that change is an inevitable blessing from our Father, and just as we plant, water, and prune our gardens, we must likewise tend to the health of our souls. If we want a deeply rooted and flourishing faith, we must be intentional to cultivate it, and the changing season creates a prime opportunity for self-reflection, gratitude, and growth.

Blessings, Beaches, & Bluebirds is the summer installment of the Rooted & Flourishing devotional series. With sincerity, charm, and humor, Dr. Andrea shares personal accounts and insights inspired by God's creation. She guides readers through complex scriptural themes with clarity and expertise while weaving life lessons throughout. From discerning God's will to living in purity to walking with joy, devotional topics help readers foster emotional health, personal growth, and spiritual transformation. You'll cultivate virtues such as self-control, generosity, compassion, and holiness, while pruning undesirable weeds such as pride, bitterness, and complacency. Focused prayers and personal reflections facilitate a daily experience of God's presence, a greater trust in his provision, and a life of resilient faith. Rooted & Flourishing devotionals engage and encourage, leaving readers looking forward to meaningful times of prayer and meditation each day. In Blessings, Beaches, & Bluebirds, you'll discover powerful yet practical lessons that will empower you to make the most of every season.

Reviews for Blessings, Beaches, & Bluebirds: Summer Devotionals Inspired by God's Creation

"""Devotional meets memoir in Andrea Robinson's Winter volume, as she invites us to sit by the fire and listen to stories and personal reflections on home, holidays, and hope. Accessible and attractively presented seasonal reading for deepening our own faith journey."" Jill Firth, PhD Lecturer in Hebrew and Old Testament Ridley College, Melbourne, Australia ""Andrea is a joy to know as a friend and fellow scholar. She has a rich devotional life that she is willing to share with us all to our great benefit. She helps deepen our sense of God's presence daily and the rewards of journaling our thoughts as we grow toward maturity in Christ. She weaves her own life experiences into the tapestry of carefully chosen Bible verses resulting in fresh insights. She is at once real, charming, and challenging. Andrea has produced the perfect devotional blend-both practical and yet deeply spiritual. She lays the groundwork for a daily encounter with the living God through all the seasons of life."" Gerald L. Stevens, PhD Retired Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Greek New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary ""What most of us want and need in a devotional is not someone to preach at us, but a wise guide to walk alongside us through life, offering wisdom, an inspiring thought or two, and practical ways of connecting with the Lord. This is exactly what Andrea (Dr. Robinson?) provides in Rooted & Flourishing. Her topic of creation is a super interesting and often neglected aspect of life where we can hear God speak to us. She welcomes you like a beloved friend to consider this or that aspect of this beautiful world, season by season. She tops off each day with a guiding prayer and a personal response to encourage you. What a wonderfully nourishing resource. Highly recommend."" J. Scott Duvall, PhD Professor of New Testament Chair, Department of Biblical Studies and Theology Ouachita Baptist University ""Robinson is a master story-teller who brings God's creation to life, and shares life-giving truth from Scripture. These daily readings inspire and strengthen my faith."" Lynn H. Cohick, PhD Provost/Dean of Academic Affairs Northern Seminary ""Every gardener's dream is to witness the plants taking firm root and flourishing to their full potential--a testimony to the glory of our Creator. The theme of spiritual growth is the focus of Dr. Andrea Robinson's new devotional series. Her devotions weave daily tapestries of appreciation for God's beauty in creation, affirmation for the sufficiency of Scripture, and personal application for the reader. Dr. Robinson's exegetical expertise in the Scriptures provides insightful wisdom for daily living shared from the crucible of her life experiences. Each devotion is a vignette of personal interest, clear exposition of Scripture, and personal reflection for the reader. This devotional is certain to become a regular go-to resource for personal and spiritual growth."" Craig Price, PhD Instructor of Bible Exposition Liberty University"
