Dr. Shantaram Kane is a distinguished chemical engineer, with a BTech from IIT Bombay and an MS and ScD from MIT, USA, and decades of industrial research experience, which he left to pursue his inquiry into the material science of ancient healing systems. He holds several patents, has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and served as visiting faculty and Senate member at IIT Bombay, which honoured him with its Distinguished Alumnus Award.
