This book is a comprehensive review of atrial septal defects, focusing especially on ostium secundum ASDs. The authors have done an excellent job identifying the key aspects in diagnosis and treatment of ASDs and discuss them in great detail. The objective of the book seems to be to provide a thorough review ofostium secundum ASDs, which is exceptionally met by the authors. The intended audience includes medical students, residents, pediatricians, internists, family physicians, adult and pediatric cardiology fellows, cardiologists, and midlevel providers. The authors are internationally renowned cardiologists working at a reputable hospital in India. This book is very useful in learning about ostium secundum ASDs. 3D imaging, TTE/TEE and intracardiac echocardiographic images, which are abundant in the book, make it easier for the targeted audience to understand the diagnosis and closure techniques. The authors have done a phenomenal job covering all the aspects of this entity including history, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management techniques.
